Young people using violence and abuse

Our NYUVA service provides a specifically tailored young peoples intervention designed to work with young people aged 11-18 years old age, who have used or are using violence or abuse towards their parent or carer.

This service is designed to support a young person to identify their abusive behaviours and to help them learn new non-abusive alternatives to abusive behaviour.

This service also works directly with the parent or carer who is impacted by the abuse to provide support to them throughout the duration of the intervention. This intervention may be delivered in the form of 1:1 work and/or group work.
